The Great Yarmouth area is home to a number of fun, family-friendly festivals and outdoor events throughout the year. 

Annual festivals in Great Yarmouth

For 2024 we have had many exciting events for the family to enjoy.  Comic Con returned on the Golden Mile in May and June saw the return of carnival fun at Caister.

One of Visit Great Yarmouth's major events the Wheels Festival returned to the Golden Mile in late June in a seafront celebration of all things that have wheels and watch our website for the 2025 details. More carnival fun was also to be had with the Gorleston Clifftop Festival in July.

Great Yarmouth has a long history with the Festival of Bowls which took place on Britannia Bowling Greens at the end of August 2024 for four weeks of thrilling tournaments.

The Out There International Festival of Street Arts and Circus burst onto the streets this year at the end of May with a riot of colour, dance, performance and comedy which all took place out in the open spaces of St. George's Park, the Golden Mile and in the town centre. This event had to be seen to be believed with acts from all over Europe putting on daredevil and incredible outdoor performances.

The Eastern Festival of Racing will take place throughout the season with days of thrilling races at Great Yarmouth race course, which included a fabulous ladies day with the chance to get all dressed up. There are still a few racing dates and a Ladies day so check out their website here

Great Yarmouth's Heritage Open Days, a national free festival celebrating the quiet and unusual heritage buildings we usually take for granted took place in September.
